Make Scrub yourselves for glowing skin:

2 cups sea salt, kosher salt, or white sugar. Salt will be slightly more abrasive than sugar.
1 cup sweet almond oil. Grape seed and olive oil are also excellent choices for oils.
10-30 drops of cosmetic-grade and/or high quality essential oils of your choice. Lavender is suitable for most skin types.
A covered, plastic container for mixing and storage.

Making the Scrub

Combine the salt or sugar with the oil. Then, begin adding essential oils drop by drop. The scent should be present, but not overwhelming. Always make sure that the essential oils are skincare quality, to aid in the prevention of skin irritation. Oils with stimulating properties, such as peppermint or spearmint, should be avoided, as they may irritate the most sensitive areas of the body.

Oily skin follow these simple tips:

Relaxation, living a stress-free lifestyle and lots of sleep are only some of the helpful tips that many health and beauty experts would generally recommend to anyone who wants to have a beautiful skin.

While these tips are generally helpful since the body naturally reacts well to healthy habits, it is also important to know what the specific remedies are in maintaining an oil-free skin.
What causes oily skin?

If you’re dreaming to have oil-free skin, you have to know what causes oily skin and act on them accordingly.

An oily skin can be bad or good. A person who has an oily skin can have the fewer tendencies to develop wrinkles early in life. On the other hand, she will be prone to blemishes such as pimples. This is because the sebaceous gland that produces sebum or the natural oil content in her skin is more active thus causing the skin to be clogged.

Causes of oily skin may be hereditary. Others may be influenced by a person?s hormone levels, diet, intake of contraceptive pills, and exposure to hot or humid weather. Stress has also been proven as one of the major causes of blemishes on the skin especially on the face. Changes in the hormone levels during pregnancy or menopause also affects a healthy skin.

Make your own face power at home:

Mix ½tbsp cornstarch with 1tsp baby powder in a bowl. Cornstarch is a thick powder that lasts longer on the face. Baby powder and cornstarch makes a soft mix that is best for the skin. Apply a little on your face to feel fresh. You can add a few drops of an aromatic essence if you want to make the powder smell better.
In a bowl, mix 1tsp green clay powder with 1tbsp cornstarch. Green clay is mostly used in making face packs. You can use it to make homemade face powder too! When mixed with cornstarch, green clay hides dark spots from the skin and opens the skin pores. You can either apply with a makeup puff or a brush to look fresh any time of the day.
Take a 1tsp beet-root powder, 1/2tsp mica and 2 ounces arrowroot powder. Mix them together. Now slowly add 5-8 drops of lavender essential oil (one drop at a time based on your requirement). Also add the powders in little quantities to suit your skin tone. Apply the homemade powder on your face and check if it is matched with your skin tone or not. Add more amount of these ingredients if required.
If you want to make a foundation powder at home, do not go for harsh chemical products. Just mix cornstarch with cocoa powder. While adding cocoa powder, see that the powder matches with your skin tone. Slowly add a little amount and mix. If required, add more in the bowl. Mix well so that no lumps are formed. Store it in a box and use whenever required. This mineral powder gives a better effect of a foundation than the others because of the cocoa powder.
One of the easiest ways to make a natural foundation is to apply a non-scented baby powder on the face. Just take the powder in your palms and then press it on your skin. Baby powder sets on the face and absorbs moisture. Thus the skin looks fresh and dry. This is an ideal face powder to beat the summer heat. You can also mix the non-scented baby powder with a compact. If you have a broken cake of a compact or foundation powder, just crush it finely and mix with the baby powder.

Lemon lip gloss:

2 teaspoons of grated beeswax or pellets
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon Aloe Vera
1 teaspoon pure lemon extract
1 tablespoon Vitamin E Oil
3-6 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

Select a lip gloss pot, readily available from container stores, or, from using makeup or cosmetics. Ensure the container is sterile by boiling it in hot water. This will help prevent contamination of your finished product, which could lead to spoilage. Melt beeswax, remove from heat and while constantly stirring - add honey, aloe Vera, almond extract, and Vitamin E. Add the Lemon essential oil last. Store in a clean pot, preferably in the refrigerator.

Get Wrinkle free smooth hands:

Combine a few spoonfuls of cold cream, two drops of tea tree oil, five drops of lavender oil, a spoonful of olive oil and a banana (for a fruity smell) in a blender. When the consistency is smooth, slather liberally all over hands and cuticles. Then slip hands into a pair of yellow rubber gloves—yes, the kind you use to scrub the tub with. For the softest hands ever, I like to sit down and watch TV with my lotions and gloved hands underneath a heating pad so that the heat will help my homemade salve penetrate my skin

Cool Cucumber facial:

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of plain yogurt
1 organic cucumber shredded
2 tablespoons of honey

Directions
Mix together and refrigerate for 30 minutes until completely chilled.
Apply to your face and leave the mask on for 30 minutes.

If you have dry skin, this all-natural mask is a savior. Avocado is truly an amazing fruit, great for guacamole dip of course, but you can also use it to moisturize your skin. Why go to a beauty spa and waste your money, when you can simply go to the supermarket? Avocados are naturally full of vitamin E, which is known to be great for your skin.I like to put one of these on after a long day at work, it has a very soothing feel and gives my skin a healthy glow.

Two tbsp. Of honey

Worlds Beauty secrets:

Australia

Australian makeup artist Napoleon Perdis says yarrow extract is used by Australian Aboriginal women to prevent stretch marks, thanks to its moisturizing and hydrating properties. “Yarrow root is also an anti-inflammatory, which soothes the skin.” Calm your complexion with his Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer , which contains the extract as a key ingredient.

Chile

Chilean women credit the antioxidant powers of red grapes for their luminous skin. They create a paste by mashing up a handful of the fruit and adding 2 tablespoons of white flour. They then apply the mask to their face and leave it on for 10 minutes before washing it off. “It wakes up the appearance of tired and fatigued skin to give you an amazing glow,” says Shalini Vadhera, author of Passport to Beauty.

Dominican Republic

“If you ever meet a Dominican woman, look at her nails––chances are they’re super-strong,” says Vadhera. What’s their secret? Women in the Dominican Republic swear by garlic to keep their nails tough as…well, nails. They chop up fresh garlic, add it to a bottle of clear nail polish and let it stew for 7 to 10 days. “There will be an initial smell, so if you want to ward off vampires this is a great way to do it,” jokes Vadhera. “But the scent goes away. Garlic has so many strengthening properties and is naturally antibacterial as well.”

Egypt

According to Vadhera, Cleopatra’s beauty secret was taking milk baths to soften her skin and remove dead cells. To try the treatment at home, Vadhera recommends adding 2 cups of powdered milk to your bath. “It will make your skin look absolutely gorgeous and feel so smooth, silky and soft.”

France

“The French woman sticks to a scrupulous and preventive skin and body care routine,” says Shannon Gallogly, the lead institution for French beauty brands Decleor and Carita. “This means she has weekly facials, regular massages and religiously takes her makeup off each night.” Gallogly’s recipe for an at-home facial without the price tag of a spa version: Mash up cherries and pomegranate seeds and apply as a mask to the skin for about 6 minutes. “This mask will help brighten skin with natural enzymes while firing at the same time.” Remove the mixture with a warm towel to help boost circulation.

Greece

Greek women are blessed with Mediterranean skin, which is light in color but has enough melanin to shield and absorb harmful UV rays,” says New York City dermatologist Macrene Alexiades, MD, PhD, who is half Greek. But even if you aren’t genetically blessed, you can still take a cue from the women of Greece. “There are other factors that contribute to their glowing complexion: They eat a Mediterranean diet high in fish, which provides skin-rejuvenating omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, as well as fruits and vegetables, which provide antioxidants and vitamins. They also believe their intake of olive oil contributes to their great skin.” So, start reaching for the olive oil instead of butter for better skin.

Spain

Spanish women bring out natural, subtle highlights in their hair by rinsing it with cranberry juice, says Vadhera. Try mixing ¼ cup pure juice (not cocktail blends) with ¼ cup water and doing a final rinse with it in the shower. “If you’re going to be in the sun, the cranberry juice brings out the rich hues in your hair,” she says. “It works amazingly on brunettes, but if you’re blonde you’ll want to use lemon juice instead to avoid ending up with pink hair.”

Sweden

Swedish women attribute their glowing, healthy skin to their diet of antioxidant-packed fresh berries and grilled fish, says Petra Strand, Swedish makeup artist and creator of makeup line Pixi, now available at Target. Give yourself a hit of antioxidants by trying Strand’s at-home treatment: Boil mineral water with a green tea or white tea bag, let the tea infuse the water and then freeze it into ice cubes to use instead of a toner. “Saunas are also a big part of Swedish culture,” says Strand. “The dry, clean heat rids your body of toxins.” To get the effect of a sauna at home, Strand says to take a handful of rock salt and add a dash of olive oil and about 10 drops of pure eucalyptus oil. Rub it all over your body and rinse with a blast of cold water.

Italy

How do Italian women maintain their glossy locks? According to Fabio Scalia, Italian hairstylist and owner of Fabio Scalia salon in Brooklyn, New York, the answer is right in your kitchen. Italian women keep their hair shiny by combining yogurt and olive oil and using the mixture as a conditioner. “The protein in the yogurt gently nourishes and conditions.” To whip up the rich treatment at home, Scalia recommends mixing 1 cup of plain whole-milk yogurt with 1 teaspoon olive oil. Then apply the mixture to washed hair, let it sit for 5 minutes and rinse with cool water.
